“We talked about minimum price for decent survival in an informal group on Facebook. Someone informed Slovene competition protection agency about these conversations. Members of the group were warned that they are limiting free forming of prices for translations, which is prohibited by the law. In the last years, especially after the global crisis of 2008 rates for translators didn’t change. If they did, they didn’t for the better. More and more work givers weren’t paying properly, were late with wages. All of this pushed translators (and other freelancers) into financial problems. They need to work more for less money and often don’t earn the minimum wage a month.”Movement for decent work and welfare society is supporting the conversations regarding fair prices and all the conditions providing decent life. “
